Daniel Cawley

Raised in Glasgow, Scotland, Daniel has been passionate and enlivened by performing from a very young age, becoming the youngest inductee of Glasgow Acting Academy’s Class of Excellence in 2013 and touring with Scottish Youth Theatre’s acclaimed National Ensemble performance of Vent in 2018. To take his fervour for the arts further, Daniel studied English Literature and Theatre Studies at the University of Glasgow before moving to London to train with the National Youth Theatre’s REP company where he played Benedick in their critically lauded production of MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING at the Duke of York’s Theatre and also starred in the Offie nominated GONE TOO FAR! at Stratford East.

Since graduating, Daniel can be seen in upcoming projects FEAR and THE RIG season 2 both on Amazon Prime and has recently carried out research and development for both the National Theatre and the National Theatre of Scotland. Using his love for the performing world, Daniel teaches regularly at Glasgow Acting Academy where his affection for performing and acting began, as well as Intake courses for the National Youth Theatre, facilitating workshops for them and many other theatre schools across Glasgow and London. Combining his intrigue with fantasy worlds in his university studies with his interest for improvisational performance and script development, Daniel enjoys tabletop games such as Dungeons and Dragons as well as working with theatre companies on burgeoning scripts before taking them to the stage.
